Films are available from the 11th May – 31st May 2023 online.

This year we are using Eventive for our online festival. All the information you will need is below. Watch and enjoy films in your home and on your couch. You can even pause your films to make more popcorn.

All 2023 SAFF films are available online.

We will be screening in cinema from 4th-11th May.

The online festival will be from 11th-31st of May

SAFF Festival Passes go on sale from Friday 8th April and will give you access to all films

Festival Pass: single – $70 – for a single person watching films

Festival Pass: household – $100 – if more than one viewer watching films

Single tickets for all films will go on sale on 7th May

Single tickets: $10 each

Purchase your tickets to individual films when you are ready to watch the film.

Films will start to be made available from Saturday 7th May. A new film will be released each day at 2pm AEST until Sunday 22th May 2022.   

Once a film has been released it will be available for purchase (if you buy a ticket on a film-by-film basis) or viewing (if you have a Festival Pass) until midnight on Tuesday 24th May 2022

Please note that you should only buy a ticket when you are ready to watch the film. Once you unlock or start the film you will have 48 hours to watch it.

If you have already bought a Festival Pass, go to Festival Page <https://watch.eventive.org/saff22>  to select and unlock the film you want to watch. Once the film has unlocked you will have 48 hours to finish viewing.

You will be sent instructions via email when you purchase a ticket for a film or Festival Pass.

Make sure to be logged in with the same email address you used to make your purchase. Please remember your login email and password.

Please note that if you miss the bonus content during the 48-hour screening period, you can find it on our website.

Yes, you can pause, rewind or restart a film during the 48 hour watch window.

Yes, you can gift tickets and passes.

Gifting Festival Pass: When you are purchasing a Festival Pass you can then click “Give as a gift” at checkout for the pass (underneath the “Have a discount code?” option). 

After customers purchase a gift pass, they receive a gift certificate emailed to them that has a unique link to redeem the pass, which they can then forward to the recipient. They can also download this gift certificate via the web or click “Send to recipient” to email the gift certificate directly to their gift recipient (along with an optional message). 

Individual Ticket

To give an individual film ticket as a gift, go to Festival Page and click on the film or pass you want to gift. You will find the link to do so underneath the blue buttons overlaying the film screenshot.

You can use your Festival Pass to access all the films. When you are ready to watch a film head over to Festival Page, make sure you are logged in with the same email you used to purchase your pass, select the film you want to watch, click “Unlock Now” then follow the prompts. Remember that once you unlock a film you have 48 hours to start viewing and then 48 hours to finish viewing. Please note that your Festival Pass can “Unlock” each of the films once only. If you want to watch a film again after the first 48 hour window, you must purchase a single ticket.

Eventive’s content protection protocol does not allow VPN access.

Are you logged in with the correct account? Please check your login status at the upper right of the Eventive window. If you are logged in, you will see a circle with the initials of the account holder. To switch accounts, click on the circle and select “sign out”, then login (using email address or Facebook login) to the preferred account. 

If you are not logged in, you’ll see the word “login” at the upper right of the window. Click “login” and enter the desired account credentials. You may also login directly from the order pop-up if you click “unlock movie” while logged out.

If all you see in the player window is a black screen, please click or tap on the window to activate the player controls.

If you are using an external display, try disconnecting the display. Your display may not support the encryption necessary to securely stream your content. If you cannot detach the external display and are using Safari on a Mac, try switching to Google Chrome. If you are on a mobile device, try letting the film play for 15 seconds.

Only select the film when you are ready to watch it. Head over to Festival Page, make sure you are logged in with the same email you used to purchase your pass, select the film you want to watch and click “Unlock Now” then follow the prompts. Remember that once you unlock a film you have 48 hours to start viewing and then 48 hours to finish viewing.”

The current average foreign exchange rate is almost equivalent, so it was decided to simply sell tickets in Australian currency.
